Queen of Sheba

The astute among you will recall that we've been to this space before; some of you may remember it as Caribbean Sun (see the blog entry) but it's now an East African restaurant. I guess that means spices from Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Lesotho, and South Africa (not to mention Reunion, Mayotte, Mauritius, Seychelles and Comoros)? Regardless, it sounds interesting and they're happy to have us. Let's do our part in filling up their space.

  1. Here's a very positive review!

I loved everything (okay, just about everything) at Queen of Sheba. I've had Ethiopian food before at 2 different restaurants in 2 different states, and I never liked it. But I truly LOVED everything I had at Queen. Funky bread--a little odd at first, but then you get used to it.

    Very nice wait staff, too.

I look forward to going back!

  2. Wow - my first experience with Ethiopian cuisine, and I am hooked!

The portions were generous and priced right. The food was spiced and delicious, with the bread providing a wonderful counternote to the spice.

    A definte must-go-back.
