Al Waha Restaurant & Hookah Lounge

The last time we visited this space almost a full year ago, it was Sameem Afghan Restaurant - and, as we were informed at the time, was destined to become Al Waha. The transformation has been complete for a while, so we're going back to try out the only Bedouin cuisine you can get in the Midwest (according to the owners, anyway).

Ranoush

Ranoush replaces Saleem's at its prominent corner in the Loop, and several reviews have indicated that it is far superior to its predecessor. The owners say, "Your Middle Eastern favorites are still served at the new restaurant, including falafel, hummus, tabbouleh, and kebabs - but with a Syrian twist." I'm curious about this Syrian twist; aren't you?

Cafe Natasha's Kabob International

This place is really tasty, or so we've heard. Join us and enjoy "unusual quality, tasteful offerings, honest preparations and genuine value." Don't forget that while "Taste Is King, Garlic Is A Servant." I could just keep going on quoting their web site forever, but you can read it yourself.
